Information:This is a man-made loch, having been formed by the building of two stone and turfe dykes. It was 'built' to allow the cattle to have a drink before they went into the Fang Dhomhainn for the night. TMcK.
Used to wash blankets here. There loch is fed by a spring, and they used to let the water out by opening the dam, and then they would have fresh water for washing. There is a circular fire pit still beside it. Donald Brown, Vaul, 8/2018
