Information: Anna Mhòr's father was a MacLean and her mother was Ciorstaidh Chlèireach (Clark). Anna was a MacLean until she was married and became a Webb, although she used her maiden name again when her husband left. She was a strong woman. She bought a huge sack of goods from the shop of Tèarlach Eòghainn na Sràide and walked home without stopping - AMcL.
Tearlach 'ic Eòghainn had the store in Ruaig. Anna Mhòr came down to buy a bag of oatmeal which weighed 140 lb. Tearlach offered to drop it at her house but Anna insisted she would carry it home. Tearlach watched her take a break for a couple of minutes at the cachaileith but otherwise carry the enormous bag home without stopping - Angus MacLean, Scarinish, 3/2010.
