Information:The Scottish Agricultural College tried growing hawthorn on Walter Hume’s croft in Hynish. Alasdair Sinclair, Greenhill allowed the college to grow lodge pole pine on Croit Dhonnchaidh Eachainn (his wife’s croft in Moss). A storm blew them all out of the ground.
