Trying to find information about my 4th great grandfather Archibald MacLean. His wife was Cathrine and I know of 2 sons, Hugh (my relation- born about 1830) and Donald (born about 1829). I am certain Hugh came to Ontario Canada first and then his brother Donald immigrated around 1870. I think they were born in Tiree. Yet family information says they came from Iona -but I can’t find a family in Iona records that contains these names.
Do you have any information on this family or a suggestion as to how I can obtain it?
