Cailean Iain mhic Lachainn (Cailean na Coisiche), a MacLean, lived there later. Bean Chailein, his wife, Effie, cleaned the Balemartine school - she was the daughter of Iain an Tuathanaich. They later moved to Cù-Dhèis (where Peggy Murray lived in the 1980s) - DMcC and NMcD.
His aunt was Bean Chailein. Cailean was the brother of Èirdsidh Bàn, Balemartine. They were the last family to live in it - NMcD.
