Information:The giant [from Siadar] went looking for spring water, dowsing with hazel twigs. He found Tobar an Dèideidh [well of the toothache] first ,but it was not deep enough. He went on to discover Tobar an Fhoimheir [the giant’s well] behind Hector Kennedy’s house in West Hynish - DMcC.
One of the people that lived in Dun Shiadair was seven foot tall. When they came to put the capping stone on the well he held one end and six people the other - GK.
