Information:Iain Mòr and Eoghann Mòr Mhialum lived in Mialum. He was famous for carrying a 56 lb bag of meal home from the MacArthur’s shop in Scarinish with only two breaks for a smoke from his pipe, one at the Coalree and another at Silversands. He did this until he was 70! Donald MacIntyre, Gott, 9/2005.
Two old men lived in this house, one of whom was called Hugh. She just remembers them. Her mother went to look after them, but they had to move to the new house because of the high tides - Mary MacPhee, Scarinish, 10/1994.
