About twenty five yards east of the cemetery was a well known as Tobar Eachainnn ('Hector's Well'). It was situated in the bank of the burn known locally as the Sruthan ('Small Stream'). But it was closed about fifty years ago, as its water was considered not to be suitable for drinking because of its close proximity to the cemetery. But before that the water was deemed to have healing powers.
