Information: There was a ring set in the rock at the south side of this pool. His uncle Dugald kept his boat here. It was called the 'Margaret' and had been made in North Uist. It was broken up by a gale and the remains of her were found in Mull by Hugh MacLean, the brother of Iain MacLean who ran the old Telephone Exchange - NJ.
Dugald (the uncle of Iain Johnston) and the older generation kept boats in this pool which could only be entered a high tide. Dugald's boat was broken up during a freak summer storm - MMcK.
