Information:There was no road in the old days to the east end and they used to go along the beach. They used Am Bealach Bàn to get down to the beach and the cars often used to get stuck opposite his house and they had to be pulled out with horses. One car belonging to a shooting party at The Lodge became completely submerged - DMcI.
