Information:An Goilear was a MacNeill and sailed a small boat from Oban once. Donald MacNeill, nicknamed 'Steel', saw this and said, “Nach i tha goileadh,” or "Nach e goilear a tha an duine sin," meaning wasn’t he sailing well [possibly from goil to boil] He had two sons, Hugh (see g) and Iain. Dwelly gives goillear as 'someone with a deformed lip', and goillir as 'storm petrel' (for 'goylir' see Martin Martin 1994, 141; this refers to a storm petrel)
