Meaning: Possibly ON þroskr ‘cod’ (see trosg, MacBain), with ON múli ‘promontory’. There is a ScG Glac nan Truisg ‘the hollow of the cod’ to the south of this feature in Caolas.
This is an uncommon specific, one example of which is Troskeneset in Risør, Norway (NG). There is no supporting evidence for this reconstruction from Iceland (SAM).
