Information:Alasdair was Alexander McArthur, born 28 Jul 1855. His father was Malcolm McArthur, baptised 18 Jul 1809, died 22 May 1869. Malcolm is in the 1841 Census as a 'Spirit Dealer' which would give substance to the story that the property was an Inn. Jim Murdoch, Caolas, 7/2012.
