Information:Alasdair was Alexander McArthur, born 28 Jul 1855. His father was Malcolm McArthur, baptised 18 Jul 1809, died 22 May 1869. Malcolm is in the 1841 Census as a 'Spirit Dealer' which would give substance to the story that the property was an Inn. Jim Murdoch, Caolas, 7/2012.

The initials 'CMA' are beautifully carved into rocks at the west end of this croft (near an abandoned JCB). Colin MacArthur went to sea. The family were great builders, building Sgibinis - Iain MacDonald, Sgibinis, Ruaig, 3/2016
